July 12, 2010 Collective Agreement Negotiations Staff Association’s current collective agreements with the CBE expire at the end of August and we have served notice to renegotiate those agreements. The SA Negotiation Committee, comprised of Jean Minifie, Dorothy Hall, Lois Robb, Wanda Stevenson, Sherry Vaskovics, Albert Herscovitch and Mark Johnson, has spent the last few months reviewing the agreements and membership questionnaires, discussing unresolved issues past and present, identifying emerging and potential issues, and gradually putting together our proposals and strategies for bargaining. Our initial meeting with the CBE Committee was scheduled for June but was cancelled due to illness. We will pick up the discussions in earnest in the fall, commencing September 9th.
