SIGNING BONUS INFORMATION
Provisions for a signing bonus were included in the recently
ratified Staff Association Collective Agreement. This provision
was an $800 prorated payment based on full-time equivalency (FTE)
payable to all permanent and probationary employees employed (including
employees on leave or layoff) as of the date of ratification,
which was June 25, 2008. This payment has been processed and was

Starting
on Tuesday, July 8, 2008 you can pick-up your strike pay for picketing
@ the Staff Association Office located at #3, 1915 – 32
Avenue N.E. The office hours for pick up are as follows:
9:00 am – 12:00 pm and r 1:00 – 3:00 pm.
A cell phone was left at the Max Bell Arena and we have it here
at the SA office.

May 6th at the Education Centre Building (515 Macleod Trail
SE) to take place at the same time as the Trustees’ Meeting.
All SA members interested in taking part in this activity should
meet at the Ed. Centre building any time after 4:00 p.m. on May
6th to participate in an hour of information picketing. Please
carpool, take LRT or transit to the Ed. Centre, as parking is
at a premium.
We’re hoping for a great turnout so we can share information
with our fellow Calgarians as to how the current situation between
CBE and SA impacts them and their children!!
